Business Analytics for Managers

A Comprehensive Analytics Book for Non-Technical Pioneers

About Book

It then develops analytical competencies through descriptive statistics, data visualization, dashboard design, management information systems, probability, inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, and managerial decision-making frameworks. Building on these foundations, the text explores advanced analytical techniques including regression analysis, classification modeling, forecasting, time-series analysis, clustering, customer segmentation, market basket analysis, experimental design, conjoint analysis, text mining, and sentiment analytics.

A distinguishing feature of this book is its strong emphasis on managerial applications rather than mathematical complexity. Each concept is explained using practical business examples, industry illustrations, contemporary frameworks, and real-world corporate scenarios. More than thirty corporate case studies demonstrate how organizations use analytics to solve strategic and operational challenges in marketing, finance, human resources, operations, supply chain management, and digital business environments.

To strengthen practical skills, the book incorporates hands-on Excel-based laboratories covering visualization, dashboard development, hypothesis testing, forecasting, regression analysis, and predictive modeling. These practical exercises enable learners to transform theoretical knowledge into actionable business intelligence and decision support capabilities.

The book is particularly suitable for students of Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance, and other non-technical disciplines who seek to develop analytical thinking without requiring an extensive programming background. It is equally valuable for educators, researchers, executives, and working professionals looking to build competencies in data-driven decision-making. By integrating business research, statistics, analytics, artificial intelligence, data visualization, and managerial interpretation into a single learning framework, Business Analytics for Managers prepares readers to become effective decision-makers in an increasingly data-centric and AI-powered world.
